On the Day of Your Surgery

What to Expect During Your Stay

Before surgery, it is common to feel nervous or scared, especially if you are not sure what will happen. Having questions or fears is entirely normal. Knowing in advance what to expect will help you relax and face the procedure with greater confidence and peace of mind.

Check-In and Admission

Check-In: Upon arriving at our center, first go to the admission area to check in. Our team will verify your personal and insurance information, help you fill out the registration forms, take the contact information of your companion and their phone number, and let you know if you need to pay any copay, deductible, or additional payment before surgery.

After Check-In: After checking in at our center, you will be taken to the preoperative area, where a nurse will review your medical history, ask you to sign the consent forms, and help you get ready for surgery. Later, the anesthesiologist will explain the anesthesia plan and answer any questions you wish to ask. Once prepared, your companion or family member may stay with you until it is time to go to the operating room, if space and schedule allow. When the appropriate time comes, our team will take you to the operating room. During the procedure, your companion may wait in the designated space or leave a phone number where they can be reached, and will meet you in the recovery area once the surgery is finished.
